I wake up. You look at me puzzled. I must have fallen asleep beside You on the bench. I see Your mouth moving, but I can't hear a word. The park is not empty, but silence is around us. You stand up and walk away. I clumsily try to follow. People pass us as we walk down the street, crowded as ever, but no one look at us, and strangely, everyone is heading in the opposite direction. Then something glittering on the floor catches my eye. Gold coins lay there, unnattended, unnoticed. I look around, who could have dropped them?

Suddenly I want to ask someone, somebody, to have permission to pick it up, but no one answers my voice, they are just passing by, indefinitely. Ducking down, I pick up the coins, stand up, and give some of them to You. You couriously rotate the little shiny plates in between your fingers. As I look up, I notice that that we are at the center of the crowd. They slowly back up, step by step, whilst giving blank stares at us. A small empty circle forms in the middle of the thousands of people. I look at You and see the substance of fear in Your eyes. I feel scared, too. What will happen now?

In that instance, the whole street turns under our feet, at first making it dificult to stand, but as it continues, we fall, and begin to slide downwards. With the crowd slowly disappearing, we are all alone. In the distance, a sudden line of white light appears. It begins to broaden, wider, like an opening door, finally making out a rectangle of light in the air. As I realize we are heading toward the door, I have a very bad premonition. I don't really understand it, but words are coming out of my mouth: 'Drop them! Drop the coins!' Just as You drop them, we arrive at the light door, and get blinded by the glow...

The bus is slowly gliding, as silently as a feather passing through the air. There is no engine noise, just an occasional scratching noise. You are sitting beside me. As I look around, there are others around, but I don't recognize any of them. An announcer's voice is coming somewhere from the ceiling. 'Hello, and welcome for those who passed the ordeal. It was just a little test to ensure everyone who gets here deserves it. If you look around you can see it's not an ordinary sight. Please don't be alarmed. That's perfecly normal. We are presently half way between  reality and unreality, sometimes passing through the texture of time itself. With these informations in your mind, have a nice trip!'

And with a click, the sound is gone off. Just then, I hear the scraping noise again, its like sliding a heavy cardboard box on concrete. I look outside on the window, to see that the bus is going paralell with a stone wall, and inch by inch, entering the wall. The whole idea of just going through a wall is just frightens me. I want to tell You that I don't feel that it's right, but You are already standing beside the door, curiously eyeing the insides of the wall.

At the other side of the wall, we get off the bus. It glides away. We are standing on a square, granite tiled, all white, it looks very clean. Nearby, there is a construction site, a tower so high that I can't make out it's top, is being built. We are approaching the tower, the builders carrying bucket of cement and water, walk back and forth.

'Stay out of here, it hasn't been finished you know!'

'We should stay back, then.' I hear myself saying, but You already entered the tower. I want to yell after You, but instead, I sneak in, too.

The inside of the tower is mostly empty, besides the stairs, they are going up around the wall, curling up and up, to the darkness. You are already on the first steps, so I quickly follow, although I don't really know where are we going at all. Then we just climb and climb. After a while, the granite stairs are gone, only regular gray stone steps follow. Later on they run out, too. The stair continues with wooden steps. Occasionally squeaks under our feet. I don't want to look down. Instead I look up, and see a bright light at the top of the tower. We must have gone really high! The last five steps are missing, and You are already on the other side, waiting for me to cross the gap. I think about it, and see no way around. I begin climbing the few board fixed to the wall, but just manage to tear one down, and it falls down into the dark depths.

I become paralized, and shout 'I can't go further, I don't want to fall down and die!'

Then I see You, holding out Your hand toward me. For the first time, I hear Your voice, gentle and calm:

'Just relax, we are almost through, just come, take my hand, and you can do anything.'

I try to reach the hand with my right, carefully. Suddenly I feel warmth, and I don't care about falling anymore, just want to reach You. As I reach your palm, and grab your hand, everything gets shattered, the world, the tower, and You, everything is falling apart...

...and then, I'm awake. I get up, wash my face, and start an another ordinary day.

Hello,

Since I was a little kid I liked catching lizards. You need to be patient and calm enough to do that, which things I really miss when doing other things... So I always felt that catching them will help me improve :P

When we first saw lizards at the Amfiteatrum, near to our university, I told my friends I can catch them, but of course, without proof, it's meaningless... So I tried and tried... but no luck. I thought maybe it was a kid-luck to be able to catch them back then, but after we bought the lake house, I could catch one!! Then another one, and then a really small baby lizard. I felt strength in me lol...
We took pictures with my dad, but they didn't look too good.

Today.. a year later, I finally managed to catch one (which supposed to be the same one I catched last year, because she was calm enough to let me be kina close to her. and yes, I know she is a girl :P, the male lizard of this race has beautiful blue head). I asked dad to take pictures, and here I show you them ^^

I don't know why I just find these lizards very cute. Especially the baby ones. They are hard to catch, because even if you manage to do so, they will simply just slip out of your hands :D And they are brown at that time :)

I wonder how these lizards of this place call me between themselves. Maybe I'm the big silly human, who stares at them and tries to catch them, but they like to make me happy and sometimes let themselves to be cought :D First lesson for the baby ones would be 'don't fear the human who smiles when staring at you' :P

I should poke Nyekk to write something next, now this blog looks like it's only mine :P

{{ mizuki }} The story of the swan brothers

The story of the swan brothers
by mizuki

It was at the start of Spring. Two brother swans swim accross the lake. They were hungry and bored, but remembered that there is a place on the lake, where they can have food and fun at the same time. They slowly approached the spot with not a single sound. They didn't talk. The brothers were right in front of the place with a small house (and caravan) when a group of three (and a dog) arrived.
The weather was warm and sunny, but the three people's mood was dark. It seemed to the swans that they were both angry and sleepy. They always had fun watching these people, and waiting for them to get food. So they stood there and watched.
First the man went into the house, followed by the girl (who seemed like an adult but she was just a nestling, they thought). The woman just froze there, and with eyes like lemons looked around. 'What a MESS!' she said, and as she said it, she headed to the house too.
The girl had her own place, the caravan near to the house. The swans saw her going in the caravan, and coming out with her face in red. She looked angry. She said things like 'gosh, spiders... DEAD spiders and all sort of insects!!' and 'what's in here??? it's all dirty!!' then with some puffs and poffs she started to clean up the place wearin a very unpleasant look on her face. Sometimes she said something like 'ugh' and 'argh'.
Later the man asked her if she wants a thing called tea, but the swans had no idea what tea was, so it wasn't that interesting for them.
Many people came that morning to see the place, that changed a lot in the last 2 weeks. And that seemed to make the girl angrier.
When around noon, the woman asked the girl if she was hungry, she got the answer 'YES!!!' with a rumble sound around her stomach. They ate, but didn't give food to the swans. They got a little mad at the human, but waited patiently.
After they filled their stomach with food the girl seemed more happier and showed the now cleaned up caravan to the woman. She even smiled. 'Food can make you happy' the older swan thought.
With their belly full, they got tired and sleepy, so the woman went down the beach to sunbath a little. The man was kind enough to give the brothers bread (which they really liked) then left the beach.
The girl followed the mother with a green thing in her hand (The book of Oracle - database handbook). She stared at it for about half an hour, but she did it so hard, the younger swan thought maybe she wants to set it in fire. Soon after that, the girl gave up, as the thing didn't catch fire, and left the beach.
Watching the woman sunbathing didn't seem like an interesting stuff, so the brothers decided to sleep in front of the house in the water. They dreamed about a misterious thing called 'tea'.

The End

And yeah.. that was the story of my Saturday, 11th of April, 2009. The caravan was soooooo dirty inside... I haven't been here since last summer. On top of that it was really hot inside, I felt like I'm in a sauna. I'm sitting in the caravan right now, it's really sunny out there and warm, but I opened every window on it, so that the breeze can come in too :) 'well 'ello there little breeze'. Sea Breeze (R)
I should practice Oracle right now, but this story from the swans' point of view didn't let me do it for an hour now, i just had to write it :D
The caravan is clean now, i removed the dead insects and the dust. I really freaked out this morning, because you know... you see the dirt inside and think that you HAVE TO sleep in this caravan at night.... it just made me upset. Dad didn't tell me it was this dirty inside when we left home. After 10 minutes of cleaning I said I wanna go home, because it's just impossible to concentrate at a dirty place right? And i have to study a lot this weekend.
Btw, the swan brothers are still sleeping in front of the house :D they are really sweet :) They were chatting before, with sounds like 'brrrrr' and 'mrrrrr' and 'grrrrr'. I wonder how many people can say about themselves that they have pet swans :DD
And I petted a lizard today... she didn't really liked it, but I always see lizards as miniature dragons ^^, so I always try to catch them here... and to I have to tell you, I'm sometimes lucky enough when they let me catch them :D

So this is the end of this post, hope you didn't get bored. :)

{{ mizuki }} Psion Netbook Pro, M.A.G.U.S., hanami and other stuffs

0 megjegyzés
Hello,

Sooo.. yep, again.. I have a new gadget. It's a handheld pc called Psion Netbook Pro. The reason why I switched my Eee pc with this?
- better and bigger screen
- longer battery life (they say it's like 6-8 hours!!)
- i realized that i don't need Windows XP when I'm on the go, and that for what I need a portable pc is only internet, looking at docs, reading manga or e-book etc. The Windows CE operating system is enough for that.
And to tell you the truth... this little netbook looks so cool!!! And it's kind of unique... you can't see many of them around here. It was a luck to get it I think.
Later if I find any bugs, will post about them :)

If I say 'World of Warcraft' or WoW, I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. You play it online, you fight in a fantasy world with different races like human, elf, ork etc. There is a famous role-playing game here in Hungary, that is called M.A.G.U.S. Recently we started to play it, as Nyekk wrote it before. Our GameMaster is N, that means he is the one who creates the story, the background, the characters that our characters meet etc. He is doing a good job.... you can tell, because we want to play it more often :D
So tomorrow we will play it again. I'm looking forward to it.

AND!!! Finally, it's SPRING!!! The weather is great here!! It's like 20-25 Celsius every day, sunny and warm (but not too much). I like this weather. You can say it's my fav season :) Starting from Monday, everything turned green and colorful, the trees are in full color :) It's interesting to see how they started from pure sceletons and produced these wonderful colors. I think I changed too, because last year it didn't make me so excited... now I can't wait to go to the same garden we watched hanami last year... I hope we can soon visit there ^^

There is nothing worse, when a teacher choose you to be her/his most hated student of the year. Until now I had 2 teachers of that kind. The first one was my literature teacher back in high school. I was working hard at her classes, and I was active too.... but somehow she always gave me bad marks. But one day I gave her a novel that I wrote and asked her opinion. A few weeks later she told me she read it and gave me a piece of paper with her thoughts. What she liked, what she didn't, what I shoud change. She was very kind that day. Then my marks started to be better. Not MUCH better, but better enough not to be that year's most hated one :)
And then I got a teacher like this at the university a few semesters before. The worst thing in this is that she taught me the subject I liked the most... she was mean and bossy. I was happy to get over her. And now.... that i got my major, she is one of my teachers again!!!! Unlucky ne??
List of what she does:
- checks on me after every easy task if I could do them or not (of course I can do them... she thinks I'm totally stupid..)
- searches for little mistakes to scold me :S
- watches me when we are watching movies with Nyekk at school (it was realllllly awkward.. we were watching a dorama, then she spot us from a distant elevator and she kept staring at us!! :S)
- she refers me as 'lady' with irony in her voice, and in front of everyone (I'm the only girl at my major).
- and of course.. she gives me bad marks :S
And then again she teaches the subject I like the most. :/
Did you ever had this kind of teacher? If so, please tell me in e-mail what was she/he like, what she/he did to you and what did you do to make her/him forget you :)

I'm currently reading Douglas Adam's last book (well.. half finished book really) called 'The salmon of doubt'. It's really fun. If you are a fan of 'The hitchhiker's guide of the Galaxy', then you will like this book too. Or if you never read that, but like Terry Pratchett or P.G. Wodehouse or Neil Gaiman, you must read it!!! And don't forget: don't panic and never left your towel at home, especially not on 25th of May, the day of towels, when you need to carry them around to show the world that you always DO have your towel with you :)

take care
