Yes, this year again, let's check the promises I made for 2010:
- finish my thesis and get a diploma with no more delays
Yep, done :) no more delays.. I finished school. It's still a bit weird, but I have to tell you, I don't miss the exams seasons :DD
- work as hard as never to get from intern to full-timer at the company i will work at from february
Done also. I am now a full-time employee at that company, and in charge of a test lab, where we pre-test every change on servers before they can go out to the real servers. It's pretty fun, but most of the time I feel it's a bit too much for me. I haven't got the experience that this job requires :) nonetheless, the job helps me with my English a lot :)
- now I've got the chibi One Piece character figures, the adult version of Luffy and Ace are on the way, Zoro will come too with the help of Nyekk. So I want to collect them all (in adult version) till the end of 2010.
Gotta catch them all! I did buy all of them :) they look amazing on my shelves. The whole crew!
- start learning korean
I started learning Korean with Padi, but then decided to put it aside for a few years. My job is still too new and I have to learn a lot, so usually I don't have time and mood for learning anything else. So I decided to keep only one japanese course to stay in shape.
- read more books (well, this is tricky, because you can't measure it :P)
Hm.. i think i did read more books :D also, I now carry 187 books around with me... since I bought a Kindle XD and I have to tell you, kindle is contagious :D after I bought mine, my friends and co-workers drooled over my kindle and bought one too :)) can't blame them, the Kindle is quite a cutie ^^ I would recommend it to anyone who like to read books.
- find a place and time when we can play boardgames with Nyekk, Padi and nnorbi ^^ I would love that!!
I DID find a place like that. Too bad they shut the place down a few months later XD and then we found a backup place, and they closed it too. Is it a bad luck I sense here?
- and once again, i promise to stay silly as always :)
That's one thing I can't revise... my friends could answer that. But from the amount of puns I usually make... i think i fulfilled this one too :D
Promises for 2011, coming up!

The day before yesterday, I had enough of coding, and decided to take a day off, and went cycling. First I didn't want to stay out all day, just going to a satellite specialist shop by bike. But in the end, it became an all-day tour. The weather was good, I crossed the river on the railway bridge. I like this route, because there are no cars, and beside the trains, it's peaceful and silent. Took some photos of how I'm seeing thing with my freaky helmet mirror thing.
On the next photo, is the ship factory on the river, which I thought long gone defunct, but appearantly still working.
I had to stop at the railway crossing, while waiting for the train, I took a pic of the shiny new (actually it's used, but in good condition) stem I had to buy last week, as the older one doesn't really wanted to hold my handlebar in place anymore :(
I also shot some huge pole for Tim, because he is a fan of these structures, and this one looked really mighty with the clouds in the back.

It started to rain lightly, I didn't mind it at first, but soon it became harder and I got soaked. I had to stop under a tree and wait a little. This is my bike, with the new handlebar orientation.

It is very convinient like this, I also moved the shifter lever to the neck of the stem, with no brakes, the handlebar only have the spedometer, giving it a nice and clean look.

I still don't know if I like the handlebar bag: It's convinient to have a bag there, and I can just get it off with a click if I want to leave the bike. But it's not really looking good, ruining the clean silouette of the bike. I think I will decide later if it has to go or not. Later on, I got to the shop that was originally my target, but got hungry, so I rode some more to the nearest IKEA to have some hotdogs. On my way there, I found an old train wagon, slowly eaten away by the steel teeth of time.

Then I headed home, only I took a different route, crossing the park in the center of the city. There I saw this interesting sign, saying "Excuse me (or us)" in hungarian. I'm still puzzled at it, don't know what would be the meaning of it.
Further on the way home, I saw another sign, this time, it was the firm I worked before.
I didn't notice this before, though the sign must be there for some time. After I got home, took a shower, and got back to work.

This week, I will tell you about Ultra Maniac, a Manga by Yoshizumi Wataru! I recently finished it, and had a fun reading. The story is centered around a transfer student, from the Magic Kingdom, who came to Earth to study in an ordinary school. She ought to keep it secret from others, but she decides to share her secret with a classmate, and that's where it starts to become interesting...
And finally, the manga has my favourite "outsider" comments, made by the characters. It is when they make comments about the manga or the plotline, or even the author, I very much like those :P
All in all, it was a good read, if you have time, read it, it is only five volume in length. There is also an anime version, which I didn't saw, but as the author wrote in her free talk sessions, it is fundamentally different from the manga, it is more centered on fantasy and magic, than romantic lines. Maybe I will watch that, too. :)
