Although not as nice as the meetballs below, here is my new years meal. It's hamburger. A native hungarian dish. It's a joint venture of my significant other and me.

The meat is being fried above. So brown and fuzzy.

The final product. Sample, not for sale, rent, or implantation. It's quite tasty and makes you fat.

Meanwhile, Cat is not at all amused by this whole commution. The fact that the decade is going to end in around half an hour is not bothering her the slightest.

Hey,

Just wanted to show you my meatballs :DD
Three types:
- meatball + picles + cheese
- meatball + picles + cheese + 'csemege piros arany'
- meatball + olive + cheese

It was a team work. Mom prepared the meat, I made the meatballs, she fried them and then I put it together :D

Also, we decided not to drink champaigne this year with Mom (Dad already had some other stuff), so I bought the children edition. It's not really the Harry Potter kind of children edition (you know, same book, different cover)... its just... apple juice with bubbles :D yeah.. i know. I will never grow up.

So.. I wish all of you a very happy New Year. See you in the next decade!

Yes, this year again, let's check the promises I made for 2010:

- finish my thesis and get a diploma with no more delays

Yep, done :) no more delays.. I finished school. It's still a bit weird, but I have to tell you, I don't miss the exams seasons :DD

- work as hard as never to get from intern to full-timer at the company i will work at from february

Done also. I am now a full-time employee at that company, and in charge of a test lab, where we pre-test every change on servers before they can go out to the real servers. It's pretty fun, but most of the time I feel it's a bit too much for me. I haven't got the experience that this job requires :) nonetheless, the job helps me with my English a lot :)

- now I've got the chibi One Piece character figures, the adult version of Luffy and Ace are on the way, Zoro will come too with the help of Nyekk. So I want to collect them all (in adult version) till the end of 2010.

Gotta catch them all! I did buy all of them :) they look amazing on my shelves. The whole crew!

- start learning korean

I started learning Korean with Padi, but then decided to put it aside for a few years. My job is still too new and I have to learn a lot, so usually I don't have time and mood for learning anything else. So I decided to keep only one japanese course to stay in shape.

- read more books (well, this is tricky, because you can't measure it :P)

Hm.. i think i did read more books :D also, I now carry 187 books around with me... since I bought a Kindle XD and I have to tell you, kindle is contagious :D after I bought mine, my friends and co-workers drooled over my kindle and bought one too :)) can't blame them, the Kindle is quite a cutie ^^ I would recommend it to anyone who like to read books.

- find a place and time when we can play boardgames with Nyekk, Padi and nnorbi ^^ I would love that!!

I DID find a place like that. Too bad they shut the place down a few months later XD and then we found a backup place, and they closed it too. Is it a bad luck I sense here?

- and once again, i promise to stay silly as always :)
That's one thing I can't revise... my friends could answer that. But from the amount of puns I usually make... i think i fulfilled this one too :D

It's already THAT time of the year again. I hope I didn't make any vows last year, cause I'm sure I didn't keep them.

For 2011, the first year of the next decade:
- Swindon
- Read
- Relax
- Play
- +++
- Become older
- Care less

I'm sure I can keep some of them, if not all.

Ever since Tim-san moved home from Ireland (or even before that, I think), we had a plan to arrange a trip to the so called Ram-szakadek, and pay our visit to the nature, and do some hiking. Time passed, and after almost a year, we got to realize said plan. Although some would argue if it was a good idea to go hiking in the autumn weather, but this particular Sunday wasn't cold at all. For a few occasions even the sun showed up, giving us it's yellowy glare, which while wasn't burning hot, it felt good nevertheless.

So with our party of 7, we met early morning at the train station, and after a short and enjoyable ride on the Hungarian Railways, we arrived on site at around 10am. We couldn't start our trip yet, as between the valley and us ran the river Danube. After the river crossing service (which was conveniently in synced departure with the trains, so wait time was minimal) helped us to overtake this obstacle, we quickly found our way through the local settlement into the nearby forest, where the tourist's route headed.

As obligatory, we took a lot of photos, of which I share a few here. Unfortunately - as always - these photos can't really capture how magnificent was this site, Although most of the route lead us through tenderly sloped forest pathways, the real hardness - and the best part - of the trip lied in following the little river upwards. This was the very river that over time, carved a steep canyon into the mountain. For the convenience of the rookie hikers like us, they integrated steel railings into the sidewalls, they were great help while climbing, but leaves me with a question, would we able to conquer this valley if they weren't there? I will never know.

In the need of regain our strength, we took a few opportunities to rest a little, to eat, or just to tame our heartbeat and dig in the beautiful nature around us. We met a lot of fellow hikers that day, the proof that the weather was more than fit for taking a trip.

After an unsuccessful attempt to climb up to a hilltop (and the party nearly came rolling down on the hillside), everyone agreed that it was time for us to head back. The path we used to return to the riverside port was a much easier than the one we used upwards. Almost reached the river when the rain started to fall. Lucky for us it didn't caught us up on the mountain! Having just missed the ferry, we sit in the nearby pub to warm up until it was time for boarding.

From the feedbacks I take it as everyone enjoyed the trip, and is willing to continue on to further ones. Unfortunately winter just settled here, so it will be some time until the next one, but I'm glad we could made this one before the cold and snow.

Hi,

Haven't been writing here for a loooong time :/
I'm sick, so I missed today's BGD (boardgame day) with the guys, and stayed home. Listening to 'Chuck' OST... so it can kinda give you a weird feeling.
I decided to clean in my room and just a few moment ago, I spotted my diploma, and it got me thinking. It's been 2 months already, since I finished school and started working full time at EM. I don't know how to form a sentence from what I feel (yeah, i know, the whole paragraph is a mess..), but I will try.

It's like this whole adulthood, y'know, working, never have time for anything, is just a long dream. Like one day I will just wake up and find myself sleeping at Network class... I know it won't happen, but it kinda feels like it. Nyekk and I are having a stressful time at work, I think I got too much responsibility in a short time, and that's what gives me a hard time.

Or maybe it's just that I'm sick and think differently.. I don't know...

Anyways, about what's going on lately:
- we occasionally have a BGD
- sometimes we watch a movie together using IRC and the !sv function of a bot called Inouetan
- squash
- korean
- getting ready for JLPT2 (or 3...since the system changed, or will change)
- eyeing with the tons of books I bought lately (wish I could find the time to read them)

Hope you are all okey. Also I want to make a note to myself here: I hope we will be less stressed in a year from now, and can find the time to meet up more often, and not just because we go to japanese together.

Catching bugs.

I promise, we will make it up for you. Now that we don't have to worry about school anymore, we can make time for other fun stuff.

So let's do those things. Like doing geocache regularly. I know these stuff can't really replace the camp, but the camp will be there next year. And knowing that your backgound is safe now, you will be able to enjoy it more.... maybe.

We will miss you, as I said before, camp is not the same without a Nyekk in it :/ Can't you just visit on the weekend maybe?

Reflecting to the previous post, we are over the final exam, we both passed and graduated from the university. Many say that after you passed, the exam seems easier when looking back, but I wouldn't say it was easy.
But we passed, and that's all that counts, I wouldn't need to think about school for a time now, only japanese.

As Mizuki told in the last post, I did apply for a job at the company she is working for, but in the end failed the last interview, and they didn't choose me for the position. It's sad, it would have been fun working at same firm..
But I got another job offer based on my thesis, I became a bughunter for a web-based dress-up game for little girls. Sounds good, hm?

The not so good part, because of this, I missed the family holiday, but what is worst, I will miss the Japanese camp. It really bugs me, because that's the one event I am waiting for every year, and this year, too, I desperately waited for it. But I can't go, and that's final now. I will sit in an office, looking at source code...now I just had a deja vu...never mind.

So long,

Hey...

just a short post.. We are currently getting ready for our final exam at school. We still have 4 days left, but we both feel like some half-dead idiots, trying to get ready for something big.... We don't even have the mind and willpower to study, so we have an irc bot at the chat who tries motivating us....

But soon, it's all over, and then we jump all day in happiness.. hopefully.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, Nyekk had a job interview at the company I'm working at, so we are now (both of us), waiting for the results.. It would be great if they hired us both ^^ Then we would work together and with Padi.

So, that's all for now. Wish us luck!!!!

Nowdays I spend most of my time doing the programming work for my shitty thesis. It's a really small software for PDA, but I'm not so good at programming so it goes rather slowly. But I have to finish soon, because I will also have to write some 30 pages about it, and by 28th May, will have to turn it in. My mood rapidly went downhill, and still staying down there.

The day before yesterday, I had enough of coding, and decided to take a day off, and went cycling. First I didn't want to stay out all day, just going to a satellite specialist shop by bike. But in the end, it became an all-day tour. The weather was good, I crossed the river on the railway bridge. I like this route, because there are no cars, and beside the trains, it's peaceful and silent. Took some photos of how I'm seeing thing with my freaky helmet mirror thing.

On the next photo, is the ship factory on the river, which I thought long gone defunct, but appearantly still working.

I had to stop at the railway crossing, while waiting for the train, I took a pic of the shiny new (actually it's used, but in good condition) stem I had to buy last week, as the older one doesn't really wanted to hold my handlebar in place anymore :(

Here comes the train.

I also shot some huge pole for Tim, because he is a fan of these structures, and this one looked really mighty with the clouds in the back.

It started to rain lightly, I didn't mind it at first, but soon it became harder and I got soaked. I had to stop under a tree and wait a little. This is my bike, with the new handlebar orientation.

It is very convinient like this, I also moved the shifter lever to the neck of the stem, with no brakes, the handlebar only have the spedometer, giving it a nice and clean look.

I still don't know if I like the handlebar bag: It's convinient to have a bag there, and I can just get it off with a click if I want to leave the bike. But it's not really looking good, ruining the clean silouette of the bike. I think I will decide later if it has to go or not. Later on, I got to the shop that was originally my target, but got hungry, so I rode some more to the nearest IKEA to have some hotdogs. On my way there, I found an old train wagon, slowly eaten away by the steel teeth of time.

Then I headed home, only I took a different route, crossing the park in the center of the city. There I saw this interesting sign, saying "Excuse me (or us)" in hungarian. I'm still puzzled at it, don't know what would be the meaning of it.

Further on the way home, I saw another sign, this time, it was the firm I worked before.

I didn't notice this before, though the sign must be there for some time. After I got home, took a shower, and got back to work.

{{ mizuki }} Time to forget

0 megjegyzés
Dear all,

In these past 2 weeks I've been buying new furnitures, redesigned my room.. you could say i started a new life :)

While I was cleaning and throwing away my old stuff... i found my old chat-notebooks. A chat-notebook is a small notebook, that we used to chat in high school. With my best friend.
It was more than 6 years ago now, that we stopped being friends. To cut a long story short she basicly got enough of me and replaced me with another girl. She was my best friend.

Until last week I couldn't really decide if I missed her or not. I wondered if i went back in time, would it been better if I behaved differently? The topics I talked about were usually the same, I can understand now why she had enough of me... yeah, i was young and maybe boring. But I cared about her a lot. I was always there for her when she needed a friend.

So a few years ago she started appearing in my dreams randomly. In these dreams we were still friends. I didn't get these dreams. I was so angry at her. She lied to me most of the times, she was never honest with me, I could never tell when she meant something or just said it because she knew what I wanted to hear.

I realized that I just couldn't let her go since then... can't really explain why.
But last week in the middle of cleaning, I found a chat-notebook. I found it before, but didn't want to read it.. you know, it's like meeting the younger you, that you left behind for a reason.
I began reading it, and laughed at first. Then I seriously got disappointed. Not just in her, in myself too.

In that notebook, we kinda talke about everyone in the class. We talked about them like those bitches in american movies, who think that they are better. We joked about them, talked badly about them. I nearly cried. I didn't remember that i was like this. Even if I had a bad opinion of somebody, I would never talk about them like that. I felt awful...

Then I realized, that it wasn't really me in that notebook. It was a friend of that girl. I was influenced. No, don't get me wrong, I still feel sorry what I wrote in that notebook, but the reason I didn't remember being like that is because after she replaced me, I changed. I built my own opinion about people and throw out hers.

After that I got a bit better. I realized that she was never the kind of friend I needed anyway. I just remembered her differently... I remembered what I wanted to remember. I was blind. So after this, I think I will never dream about her again. I'm over it. And to be honest, I think... as weird as it sounds... that I should be glad she replaced me. If she hadn't, I would be a different person now. I should be glad that she let me go so I would never feel that bad again.

Sorry if this post was boring or weird. I wanted to write it out from myself. It helped me move on. I've got the most wonderful friends one would ask for... thank you!
What I would change if I went back in time? I would stop being so naive and easy-to-be-influenced.

Hi!

First of all, sm stands for short message.

Now for the real thing: i took this pic at my workplace, it is on the restroom's door. If you go in, you see the women and men's restroom.
So what do you think it is?? I randomly saw mountains or a rabbit. Can't link any other meaning to this.
What's your opinion?

Hi there!
Recently, a lot of things happened, in short, we had an anniversary of our Japanese learning, we held a carcassone party at a board game club, and I got a cat :)

Every year, at St. Patrick's day, is a special day, because that is the day we started to learn Japanese at the language school of ours. Last year we celebrated it at the usual McDonalds where we first waited out the spare time until the lesson started. This year unfortunately, St. Patrick's day wasn't on Thursday, so we didn't go to the McDonalds. We instead cheated a little, and found a Hungarian huszar (it's an old hungarian soldier type, with the horse and things), so Mizu suggested to take our anniversary pic there. We looked at the nearby McDonalds, and they didn't have the webcam terminal, so it turned out like this:

My nameday was coming up, and my friends organized a Carcassonne party for this occasion. Mizuki earlier looked up a board game club, that could provide a room for a day. The room was underground, nice, and soundproof. You could buy tea, and it was very cheap per person. Looking forward for the next time, maybe a M.A.G.U.S. game, or some other board game :)

And finally, I decided to get a cat. I long time longed for one, but I knew it's a big responsibility, but as I got unemployed and spend most of the time at home, it became very lonely. I started to search about the adoption sites, and I found a black oriental shorthair, which was always my type of cat. When I was younger, we had siamese cats, and they have been very intelligent and had a slender figure. The oriental shorthair is almost like the siamese. After the vet checkup and having her chipped, she finally came to live with me :) For the first 2-3 days she was always hiding away somewhere (even under the bath!) Then gradually she calmed down, and now she sleeps on the bed, and follows me everywhere :) The only thing left is sterilization, because the womanly ways of a cat can be rather mindsnapping (I didn't got much sleep nowdays as the result of the constant nightly meowing)

{{ mizuki }} JLPT, iPhone, work etc

0 megjegyzés
Hey!

Just a short post :)

- Sooooo, we got the results of the JLPT 3kyuu exam :D we all passed ^^ again! So cool :)

- the iPhone feels great, i have a the feeling that it might be the phone i was waiting for nearly 5 years :D I would never thought... i kinda looked down on iPhone owners before. But it's just so easy to love.

- my job is nice too, i have a good time there. I'm working on my own project, which shows results now. I just hope I can be good enough for them, so that i can work there as a real employee from August :)

- a few more One Piece figures left: Chopper, Luffy (maybe, just to have the full set), Nami, Brook. I got everyone else so far :) I also want to buy a Yotsuba figure and I try to find a cool looking Superman, in the size of these figures, but no luck so far. Maybe a Hermione from Harry Potter :DD Yeah.. you see it right.. i got addicted to this thing, called 'collecting figures'. I'm helpless...

- school... it got a bit out of my mind nowadays. It's hard to have a work-mind and a school-mind at the same time, because you have to think differently in the two environments. It's weird no. I started to feel like Nyekk, he said a year ago, that he doesn't feel like he belongs to school anymore. And I just want to finish it, and start my life.. in the real world, where there are different rules.

- day by day, I get more excited... I really can't wait to learn Korean, start kung-fu and stuff like that. But oh well.. :)

That's all folks

<< Nyekk >> Planetarian ~reverie of a little planet~

0 megjegyzés
Hi there!
This time I will write my thoughts about the visual novel I read last, the first one in a long time :)

“What do you think about the planetarium? That beautiful twinkling of eternity that will never fade, no matter when. All the stars in the sky are waiting for you.”

These are the signature welcoming words of the planetarium staff member robot companion, Hoshino Yumemi (Reverie Planetarian in english sub). She is a Popular Model, with integrated holovideo recording and playback, social skills and projector control, she is the perfect companion for anyone attending the planetarium. She is hardworking and needs no vacation, like any robot. And even after there is no one left in the world to see the show, she continues doing her job...

The setting itself is postapocalyptic, devastated cities, human population decimated, Junkers - collectors of remaining goods of old times - cruise the uninhabited metropolises. And when one tired Junker decides to enter the department building closed for years, the story begins.
This visual novel is a kinetic one, meaning that you wont have multiple endings, and choices in the story, you just have to read and watch (and in the voice acted version, listen :)) And while the story is a little bitter and sad, I can only recommend it to read it, especially if you like Asimov's robotic themed stories, it is a very touching one, that you won't forget quickly.

Hey!

So it's almost time for out results from the JLPT 3kyuu exam. I just thought of posting here this link.
Nyekk wrote it last year. I remember, we were so crazy about waiting.. because hey, we wrote it at the beginning of December, and we got the result by March?? So, it's the same this year. We know that the result are already in Hungary, we just have to wait for the post.

JLPT, we did it! (2009)

News so far: today, I bought my very first iPhone :) I was so pleased with my iPod touch, i wondered, maybe the iPhone is the mobile I was waiting for. So I bought one. I keep the iPod for a little while, in case the iPhone doesn't work out :)

Hope you guys okey

<< Nyekk >> Ultra Maniac

0 megjegyzés
Hey There!
First of all, we did a little overhaul to this place, how do you like it? :) I am still experimenting with some stuff like the in-post avatar you see there <--- :P

This week, I will tell you about Ultra Maniac, a Manga by Yoshizumi Wataru! I recently finished it, and had a fun reading. The story is centered around a transfer student, from the Magic Kingdom, who came to Earth to study in an ordinary school. She ought to keep it secret from others, but she decides to share her secret with a classmate, and that's where it starts to become interesting...
There are 5 volumes total. The first 3 volume is more of a comical story, how magic can go wrong and such, in the background the neccessary love lines are beginning to outline however. By the last two volumes, it becomes centered around feelings mostly. The characters are loveable, the girls are cute, there are no incredibly evil persons here, so it creates a good atmosphere.
While the setting is magical, it is not the general fantasy manga, as magic is mostly done differently, nothing flashy there, no wands and potions. As the author noted, she never did a magical themed story before, so it's kind of a first for her, and that's why she did it other way around. But there are Magic PDA-s, with big RAM (Random Access Magic) :D Cats who turn into humans, and vica versa :3
And finally, the manga has my favourite "outsider" comments, made by the characters. It is when they make comments about the manga or the plotline, or even the author, I very much like those :P
All in all, it was a good read, if you have time, read it, it is only five volume in length. There is also an anime version, which I didn't saw, but as the author wrote in her free talk sessions, it is fundamentally different from the manga, it is more centered on fantasy and magic, than romantic lines. Maybe I will watch that, too. :)

{{ mizuki }} One Piece figures

1 megjegyzés
Hello!

So I have been told to "hell, post something on your blog, will ya?", or something like that. So I decided to post about the figures I got recently. I did promise this, so it's time :)

I couldn't take good pictures with my own camera, so I borrowed my Dad's super camera :D
Well, I should have used some stand for this, because most of my pictures got really blurry :/

But hey, here is what I got so far :)
Usopp / Sogeking is on his way in Nyekk's backpack, so he will be in my next post only :)

First, Nico Robin. Her cowboy hat can be removed... well, i did make a picture with Zoro, wearing this hat :D He looked super gay XD

Franky, it was hard to take a picture with his face showing :DD because his hands are cannot be moved.. i know, i broke one of them XD

Roronoa Zoro. I think I like this figure themost. It is just plain cool and his expression is so much like him :)

And lastly, Sanji, the "love cook" :D with a removable cigarette.

So, these were my figures. There is still: Nami, Chopper, Usopp (who is on the way), Brook, and maybe Luffy. I say maybe, because I already have 4 figures of Luffy XD none of them are the same size :)

A bit about what's happening to me nowadays:

I got an internship at an American company, to be specific, I work at one of their IT support station, in Budapest. I like the place a lot, it is so much fun. The team I became a part of was very welcoming and nice. They care about me, not like my last collegues. The boss is the kinda boss you would always wanted :) I get salary. I wanted to highlight this, because most of the time, interns does not get payed.
So I will work here until 31th of July. By that time, I have to report what I did at the company, and if they like my attitude and my work, they can offer a full-time job for me :)

Meanwhile I continue to go to school, to finish my last semester. So im 2 days at school and 3 days at work. And I still study japanese with Nyekk :)

So my life got a bit busy, but I will try to continue blogging here ^^

Last thing, I think I will get an iPhone 3G :) I love my iPod touch so much, I thought why buy a phone when I can sell my iPod and get an iPhone, if I like the interface so much.

That's about me for now :)

take care
