<< Nyekk >> Planetarian ~reverie of a little planet~

Hi there!
This time I will write my thoughts about the visual novel I read last, the first one in a long time :)

“What do you think about the planetarium? That beautiful twinkling of eternity that will never fade, no matter when. All the stars in the sky are waiting for you.”

These are the signature welcoming words of the planetarium staff member robot companion, Hoshino Yumemi (Reverie Planetarian in english sub). She is a Popular Model, with integrated holovideo recording and playback, social skills and projector control, she is the perfect companion for anyone attending the planetarium. She is hardworking and needs no vacation, like any robot. And even after there is no one left in the world to see the show, she continues doing her job...

The setting itself is postapocalyptic, devastated cities, human population decimated, Junkers - collectors of remaining goods of old times - cruise the uninhabited metropolises. And when one tired Junker decides to enter the department building closed for years, the story begins.
This visual novel is a kinetic one, meaning that you wont have multiple endings, and choices in the story, you just have to read and watch (and in the voice acted version, listen :)) And while the story is a little bitter and sad, I can only recommend it to read it, especially if you like Asimov's robotic themed stories, it is a very touching one, that you won't forget quickly.
