Japanase studies:
I decided to take on the JLPT Level 4 test in december, so now I`m studying like a guzu (a little animal, which appearantly studies like hell). I have already had an intensive one week course, which gets you ready for the test. There are three of these. The course was fun, but by Friday, I was a little exhausted, and already dreamed about rooms full of いけぞうし(a form of japanese adjective), and awakeaned to the word ことし(this year). So yeah, my brain kinda went crazy. But that wasn`t all the language course I took, it was just the beginning...read on :P
Summer AnimeCon:
This summers anime convention wasn't held in the capital city Budapest, but in a smaller one, called Gyor. In fact, it's tradition to hold the summer convention at rural cities, and the local anime fan clubs take part in the happening.
Mizu and I on the train
I was going together with Padi, and it was that Mizu wanted to visit her friend in Gyor, so she decided to escort us there on the train. While travelling, I tried to give them some of my freshly aquired japanese grammar knowledge, with mixed results, I'm not the one who can teach well.
The view at the con
Arriving at the con, I noticed that it was not so big. In fact, it was small. One hall of kiosks, one gym disguised as cinema, this was where the cosplayers marched on the stage, too. There were also 2 smaller rooms for console players, and dancemat maniacs. We decided to watch the cosplay competiton, but the microphones and the loudspeaker was so bad we barely managed it to the end. After that, we headed to take a good look around the sellers. I bought an Ayashi no Ceres manga, in japanese ofcourse. It will be fun when I will have the ability to read it :D We weren't staying until the very end, because our train was leaving, and we wanted to catch it. One more thing, the weather was so hot, that if you left a stone out on the sun, it would surely melt into lava. But we endured it well, and the train had A/C.
Japanese Camp:
This is the MAIN EVENT, the diamond of the year, the ultimate :P I can only talk in extremes, because it was simply so goooood. I have had a wonderful time in that one week, I got to know new friends.
With some of my new friends on the boat: Hikaru(far left) and Tim(far right), Padi(middle)
I'm not going to write about all the things that happened at the camp, because that would be too f-word long. We played a lot of games, learned Carcassone and Go, both of them are very addictive. I learned about calligraphy, budhism, chinese, and haiku. We even wrote some haikus, but they were just so bad :DDD
Senseitachi
I even did karaoke! I have never sang publicly before, but I enjoyed it much (I only speak for myself :P) We learned that Popotan is the anime where someone surely gets naked per episode, that videos about japanese foods are not just ugly but boring as well, what can you love in a bear candle (thanks to むすばれたいの), that tohou is the repetitive flash thingie that gets in your head, and that you shouldn't eat the Nanami Special :)
Doing our best on the entrance sorting test ^^
And lastly, but not leastly, we had language classes as well, so we were cantating nouns, verbs, adjectives all day in our free time.
Rapidly dieing in overload :D
At the last day, we went to a nearby city for a full day sightseeing, we went 40 meters high, and 3 meters down to a museum, where they showcased the famous hungarian suasage "Pick" manufacturing process. おもしろいね。^^
Posing as old hungarian peasants
But it was hell a lot of fun, and life is hasty and undeterministic, but I can be sure in one thing: I will be there next year again, no matter what! ^^
Bubble blowing time
That's already a long post so i will cut it here.
Stay long, stay well.
