<< Nyekk >> Carcassonne home rules

I just had a very disturbing dream that made me all sad, I just couldn't sleep anymore. So I thought about writing an entry here on the blog.

One to the city, one to the farm

Lately, as some of you might know, we became kinda addicted to the game Carcassonne, and it became a regular-like activity to play at Fridays after school. After playing a round or two with our newest addition, Burgmeister & nantoka, we found out we didn't really use the new features after all. We thought that we might improve the situation by inventing a home rule set for them. Mizu wanted to bring more "fantasy" and "adventure" into the game. That resulted in a wild brainstorming getting us nowhere :P But a few of the ideas survived after that, even if in a somewhat mutated form.

The final map, you can see some of the modification, most notable the sign on cloisters/cults

We playtested it this Tuesday, it worked pretty well with three players. And we did a four player match on Friday. Well it still has some rough edges, but in overall, it works pretty well. And of course, it's fun, which is the most important. :)
It was a rather long game, and at the end Mizu triumphed with a score of about 370. We weren't jealous, not even a little :P

Our winner is dashing about! I just happen to like this pic.

Next week, we will be going to try out M.A.G.U.S., a Hungarian rpg, with N (in "Mizu notation") as our gamemaster.

N is trying to enchant the dragon by radiating strong magical carma.

I just remembered, the clock jumped a whole hour forward a little while ago. Don't you just hate it when it happens?!

Now I shall get some sleep after all, I got some work to do today. And I got hungry anyways.
