{{ Pheebs }} Promises for 2011 - revised

Yea, it's that time of the year again. So let's go through my promises from the end of 2010:

- go on a 1 week long tour around Ireland with my parents by car/or anything else

I'm such an overachiever... really. So we went on a 9 days long adventure to Ireland with my family. We saw Dublin, Galway, the Aran islands, Cork, Limerick. As for the car/or anything else part, we rented a car over there. Not only we did see Ireland, mom and I got so excited about spending time abroad, we went to the UK together not so much later. Our time in Winchester and London was quite fantastic. Later this year we decided to spend more time in London because the last time it was kind of a rush... so we picked up dad (against his will) and went to spend a week in London. So yea... it was a busy year :D and I already booked the hotel for next year's adventure in Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow, here we come).

- boyfriend

This is a tough one. I think I will just say here that I had one, no I don't. Hope that's enough for you.

- Swindon

Remains a plan for the next years.

- strengthen my English speaking skills/vocab/learn more idioms

I took classes, provided by the company I'm working at. But I think the 3 trips I had this year did more than the classes.

- driver licence

Ehhhehe.. laterz.

- learn how to make a pizza

I did recieved a good recipe from my friend, but I have to admit, I forgot about this one :D

- convince my friends to go to cinema together more often

I went a lot, just not with my friends. I wish we would go more though. I like it. Watching am versions or waiting for the DVD to come out is not so much fun.

- learn at least 3 new songs on piano

I failed this one :( I have an app on my iPad that I can use to buy piano scores. I bought 3 scores, but have yet to learn them. I feel ashamed, I'm sorry (TT . TT)

- with the help of Nyekk, create the Great e-Library

The Great e-Library is.. well, it's half done :D halfway I realized that it is usable the way it is now, so there was no need for me to continue.

- play squash at least 2 times a week

Failed it. I either did not have a partner or the time. I started running a few weeks ago though. It seems fun, so I hope to keep up the 3/4-times-a-week plan with the bravest mom on Earth :)

- learn how to save up money (the Ireland tour will be a good lesson...) +1 stay silly as always :)

I realize now that this sentence is complete rubbish.. Putting money aside for traveling turned out to be the complete opposite of saving money up. You see it was usually like this: Oh, look I got my salary.. let's go somewhere. And in the next couple of months: ok, my salary arrived, now I can buy the flight tickets/book the hotel rooms/transportation etc. When we were not traveling somewhere, I have to admit I gave every money I have to Apple. 'cause this year I bought an iPhone 4, an iPad and a macbook air. I'm terrible, I know. Nevermind, it's the end of the world next year, so if we survive and 2013 does come, I will start saving up :P

Next year's promises coming tomorrow.

see ya
