{{ Pheebs }} Chouch to 5K

Hi there,

Yeah.. I know. It's been ages since I left a footprint here, I just didn't feel I had anything to say.
I mostly worked or watched tv shows (or tv serieses whichever you like) from the US, so there hasn't been much going on with my life.

One day I woke up and carelessly passed the scale.. and I stepped on it by accident. Then I just wanted to see what my toes looked like and I accidentally looked at the numbers the scale showed. And then I paniced. Is that real? Ok, where are the cameras. I can't weight that much, that can't be me.

So I then took my time to think through my options, which were along the lines:
- play squash -> expensive if you do it more then 2x a week
- go to the gym -> expensive and boring if you do it more then 2x a week

So I got away with this excuse for about a month. Then I realized that it can't just go on like this forever. That was when I went to the Margaret Island to take part in a company training... and we nearly missed the bus on our way back to Nyugati railway station... so we had to run.

We only ran like 10 seconds, but it felt good. I felt refreshed... and tired... after 10 seconds. lol

So I decided to run for.. well.. for run :D
The goal is to lose about 10kg until summer, the first milestone I chose is 5K (2 miles) in 8 weeks. So this means that by the end of the 8th week I should be able to run for 30 minutes continuously.

So this is how I wish to turn from this:

To this:
Ok ok, I will decide what I want to turn into later :D

But (yes, there is always a but), I'm still sick with cold :D so the masterplan will have to wait until next week, possibly Tuesday. But then. World, here I come.

I do need a bit of support here to not give up this plan. As they say, your first 2 miles are the hardest. So please cross your fingers for 2 seconds for my sake :) thanks

Cheers

Try the hiking. It is much better than the running.
But be careful, because gets dark early in winter.
